Ben Richmond, CA – 2020 20 Under 40 Honoree

Ben Richmond is a chartered accountant and US Country Manager at Xero where he is responsible for driving Xero’s growth in the region. Ben is passionate about transforming the accounting profession and helps firms accelerate the transition to the cloud and provide new services that enable small businesses to thrive. He started his career in a large regional accounting practice before joining New Zealand’s largest telecommunications company working on SEC compliance and investor reporting. He joined Xero in New Zealand in 2013 where he led the country’s national growth and spearheaded Xero’s global agriculture strategy. Ben moved to Denver in 2017, where he previously served as Vice President of Business Growth. He has an extensive speaking profile at accounting industry events such as AICPA and Xerocon and frequently contributes to CPA Practice Advisor, Accounting Today, and Entrepreneur. Ben was named to Accounting Today’s “Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting” in 2019 and 2020.
